The gasket seal actually works — I left one on my back porch through a rainy weekend and the hanging folders inside stayed bone dry. The reinforced lid stacks perfectly with the other two in my garage. Way sturdier than the flimsy ones I've bought before.
Three of these fit under my desk and the reinforced lids mean I can actually stack them without the bottom one caving in. The gasket seal is a nice bonus since my basement gets damp. Letter hanging folders slide in fine with room to spare.
Finally, a file box that doesn't buckle when I stack three heavy ones on top—the reinforced lid holds up perfectly. The gasket seal gives me real peace of mind for storing tax records in the garage without worrying about moisture.
