My 15-pound guy finally has room to turn around without hanging over the edge, and the extra length really shows. The high sides have cut way down on the litter I was sweeping up every morning. Dumping it out is easy too since there's no lid to wrestle with.

I was worried the high sides would make scooping awkward, but the open top means I just reach right in. Barely any litter ends up on the floor now, and my two cats actually fit in there together without a fuss.

My older Maine Coon finally has room to turn around without bumping his head on the lid, and the high walls mean I'm not sweeping up pellets every single day. The gray plastic is sturdy enough that scooping doesn't bend the rim, which was my biggest gripe with cheaper boxes.
